Robo-advisory solutions provide traditional financial institutions (FIs) with an opportunity to reach a new younger demographic looking for a seamless digital experience with instant gratification and personalized recommendations. Standalone robo-advisors have had massive influxes of AUM over the past 18 months, but there’s still a huge opportunity for FIs to compete, banking on their existing market penetration, trusted brands, and their ability to provide both human and digital advice. Robo-advisors, for their part, can also move up the market to service investors with more complex needs by offering more human-delivered advice. The future, for investors, is a growing space combining technology and human solutions.
